Remembering Cilla Black who died 10 years ago today

Fans will be remembering the life and career of pop music & TV trailblazer Cilla Black today on the 10th anniversary of her passing.

Cilla Black was born in Liverpool Priscilla Maria Veronica White on 27th May 1943. She began her showbiz career twenty years later after signing to Beatles manager Brian Epstein. Known for chart-topping hits like ‘Anyone Who Had a Heart’ and ‘You’re My World’, by the end of the sixties, Cilla had achieved eleven top 10 hits, plus a presenting slot on her own BBC variety show. Later in her career, she reached new generations hosting prime-time TV shows ‘Surprise! Surprise!’ and ‘Blind Date’.

Cilla was undoubtedly one of Britain’s most successful and best-loved entertainers. She was also a trailblazer for women in British showbiz having been the No.1 selling female pop star of the 1960s and the most watched female presenter of all-time!
