Classic Cilla Albums remastered and reissued in stunning new deluxe CD series!
The London-based indie label Cherry Red Records has released a must-have CD series of Cilla Black’s greatest original albums.
The extensive music re-release campaign was coordinated by re-issue producer Stephen Munns and overseen by Cilla’s son Robert Willis. Great care was taken to ensure that fans were offered the ultimate celebration of Cilla’s legacy as a British pop music icon.
The recordings on each set were digitally remastered from the original studio tapes. A richly illustrated booklet is provided featuring rare photographs, detailed liner notes & 2009 interviews with Cilla.
Of particular interest to Cilla fans will be the inclusion in the series of a very special new album, ‘Classics & Collectibles’ which features rare 1980s singles, live concert recordings, dance remixes plus duets with Cliff Richard, Dusty Springfield & Barry Manilow.
Cherry Red Records complete their CD series with the release this month of Cilla classics ‘Cilla Sings A Rainbow’, ‘Day by Day with Cilla’, ‘Sweet Inspiration’ and ‘Images’ (see photo below).
CD Titles available include:
- Sher-oo! / Modern Priscilla
- Surround Yourself With Cilla / It Makes Me Feel Good
- Cilla / In My Life
- Cilla All Mixed Up / Beginnings: Revisited
- Cilla Sings A Rainbow / Day by Day with Cilla

Cilla’s eldest son Robert Willis who is the executive producer of the series explains more:
This series of deluxe CD re-issues from Cherry Red Records is, first and foremost, a project for, and a thank you to, her legions of fans!
It’s about finally getting the entire catalogue of original albums out on CD! We’d done this previously on download, but a lot of fans wanted an actual product they could hold in their hands.
Each CD set includes an extensive 32-page booklet and this gave us a wonderful opportunity to include some of the best shots from my Mum’s time at EMI. Additionally, we also delved into her personal archive of photos, some of which we rediscovered in her Denham home after her passing.
Although the CD re-issues are intended for collectors and fans, they will obviously also appeal to those who have seen ‘CILLA – The Musical’ and who may want to find out more about her treasury of songs. Now you can!
I hope everyone enjoys the new CD series!
