Cilla was invited by writer Derren Litten to be a guest star on ‘Cilla’s Villa’; the opening episode to Series 4 of his sun soaked cult comedy ‘Benidorm’.
For the storyline the Liverpudlian superstar now owns Madge’s mansion in Benidorm much to the surprise of the Garvey family. She also has scenes with the swingers Donald and Jacqueline Stewart who help Cilla with her decorating.
‘Cilla’s Villa’ averaged an impressive 7.31m (30.2%) from 9pm which beat the previous peak achieved during the sitcom’s last series – it also proved to be the most watched programme in the UK on Friday evening!
