She surprised, she sizzled and she upstaged the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Cher who shared the same star-studded bill when she stole front page headlines after giving a feisty routine before the Queen at the 2001 Royal Variety Performance. 

On November 26th, Cilla made a singing comeback @ London's Dominion Theatre giving her first live singing for nearly a decade. She made a welcome entrance performing You've Gotta Have a Gimmick from the 1962 musical Gypsy, proving without a doubt she hadn't lost that voice. Playing the vampish role of one of the strippers she had the audience in the palm of her hand belting out her part in a trio which also included Carry-On actress Barbara Windsor & drag- queen Lily Savage (aka Paul O'Grady).

Cilla later revealed her inspiration to do this came after seeing a Westminster production of the musical which friend Paul O'Grady had taken her to as way of a Valentines Day treat.
