Cliff and Cilla: Behind the scenes at Leeds Castle Cilla gave a surprise guest appearance on stage with Cliff Richard at the 17 April 2004 date of his Royal Albert Hall concerts...

Cilla was introduced by Cliff during the second half of the concert. Reports from fans who attended the night were that she electrified the stage and was greeted with huge rapturous applause. Cilla then gave her first live concert performance for over 20 years performing quite aptly Peggy Lee's Fever a song she hadn't sung since her days at Liverpool's Cavern back in 1962 with Gerry and The Pacemakers.

"Cliff asked me if I'd like to do something on his show at the Albert Hall. Cliff was doing 17 nights and they were hanging from the rafters. I said we could do "Imagine", which Cliff did the backing vocals for on my album. I said "Yeah, but could I do another song first? I'll do Peggy Lee's "Fever", which I could do easily...." - Cilla

She was then joined by Cliff to sing Imagine from her latest album Beginnings. She finished to a standing ovation before leaving the stage.

"Before my part, I was really nervous and said to Cliff "I can't do it!". But as soon as I got back stage, I was raring to go...I really enjoyed it getting the buzz from the audience. I must admit, I did milk it for all it was worth. I'm the only person that could make 2 songs last 20 minutes! They couldn't get me off..." - Cilla
