Cilla sings soundtrack song on DVD...

In 1971, the big screen spin-off to the popular TV sitcom Please, Sir! was released. A DVD of this comedy movie is currently in stores and features Cilla's soundtrack song La La La Lu (which was the b-side to her hit Something Tells Me)...

In 1968, British star John Alderton had his first TV hit when he played the newly qualified teacher Bernard Hedges. The "too-sensitive" teacher had the ambitious aim to try and tame the most unruly class at Fenn Street comprehensive school, 5C.

The show and its now politically incorrect antics became a major success for the newly formed London Weekend Television. Thus, the comedy feature-film based on the series was conceived.
