re-issue for Cilla's 1980 studio album...
Especially For You was originally released on the 3 August 1980. It
was Cilla’s first solo project after she had completed her 15-year
contract with EMI Records and was produced by Bruce Welch at the
legendary EMI Studios Abbey Road. Based on sales of the album that
exceeded 60,000 units, it
deservedly went on to attain Silver Disc status.

A new CD
edition will be
released on the 24 April 2006 courtesy of the Pickwick Group's Hallmark label.
Re-issued during the album's 25th Anniversary year it will
poignantly utilise the original 1980 cover photograph. The
16 tracks included represent some of the finest song material of
the 1970s and beautifully demonstrate Cilla's softer style of
singing. All in all these are probably the reasons why this CD
is already rated by HMV online as on of their TOP Easy
Listening Pre-orders. Quite an achievement when it ranks
alongside brand new studio albums by Julio Iglesias & Barbara
Dickson.
