Cilla
is one of the first 100 stars to have their name emblazoned on
London's version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame...

The Avenue of
the Stars is a permanent walkway of silver stars set in the
grounds of St Paul's church in London's Covent Garden. Stars eligible to
receive the award are those born in the UK or Commonwealth. This
years selection focussed on those who have made a significant impact
in the world of entertainment in the last 50 years.
Cilla received her
award from fellow entertainer Paul O'Grady who had
the star-studded
audience [and Cilla] in fits of laughter. The ceremony was broadcast live
on the 18 September 2005.
Other recipients
include Sir Alec Guinness, Sir Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin,
Peter Sellers, Sir Rex Harrison, Nicole Kidman, Lord Olivier,
Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker, Tommy Cooper, Billy Connolly, Dame
Edna Everage, Ricky Gervais, John Cleese, Dame Shirley Bassey
and The Rolling Stones.
