Capitol Records, the
American arm of EMI Records, release today on download all
of Cilla's recent British music releases. This includes her new remixed single, remixes album and all of
her original studio album re-issues (that's over 130 digitally
re-mastered recordings many of which were produced by Sir George
Martin at Abbey Road Studios).
Cilla is best known
in the USA for her 1964 Italian ballad 'You're My World' which
was a Top 30 hit on the American Hot 100 and a Top 5 smash on
the Adult Contemporary chart.
Of significant
interest to American music lovers will be the inclusion of every
single song that Cilla recorded from the songbooks of Burt
Bacharach & Hal David as well John Lennon, Paul McCartney,
George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The
majority of these recordings have been previously unavailable on
download in the United
States of America.
