Throughout the sixties, seventies and eighties
Cilla Black performed to hundreds and thousands
of adoring fans across the United Kingdom,
Europe, South Africa, the Middle East and
Australasia with her highly successful concert
tours and cabaret shows. In 2008, she made a
triumphant return to the stage when she starred
in a sell-out run of the pantomime 'Cinderella'
performing to 80,000 adoring fans in the finale of the city of
Liverpool's year as "European Capital of Culture 2008".
The 39
shows ran at the Liverpool Empire and co-starred actress, model and singer
Jennifer Ellison (Cinderella), comedian and TV star Les Dennis
(Buttons), actor Ted Robbins (Baron Hardup) and radio
presenter Pete Price and Brick up the Mersey Tunnels star Roy
Brandon (The Ugly Sisters). Incorporated in Cilla's routine
were some of her biggest and best loved hits such as “You’re My World”.

favourite “Sing A Rainbow”.
“...This is definitely a homecoming, as Liverpool is 'home'
to me and I can't wait to spend time with my friends and family.
I am also very excited that my grandchildren will be able to
come and see me in a pantomime and there is no better place than
Liverpool for them to do that....I'm really looking forward to
getting back on stage there....”
